World's top most mobile phone manufacturer Nokia has rolled out three new messaging phone models aiming to challenge the dominance of RIM's BlackBerry in the mobile e-mail market.
The new C3 models featured with a fully operational keyboard and priced at about Shs255,000 excluding taxes and subsidies, is likely to set the market pace as a key Nokia device for this year. Apart from this C3 model, Nokia has also lined up two more phones; C6 and E5 which is priced at about Shs620,000 and Shs510,000 respectively. As per Ms Dorothy Ooko, Nokia’s Communications Manager for East and Southern Africa, the introduction of these three new model is aiming at promoting social networking by offering affordable tools. Ms Ooko also added that these new mobile phones from Nokia are cheaper alternative for consumers who can not afford to purchase other smartphones available in the market which are really expensive. Expensive rates have hindered the penetration of Smart phones in the East Africa market.So, it is great chance to fulfill the dream of having your own smartphone.
